This Holiday Season, We’re Giving the Gift of Galaxy

This holiday season, we want to bring that power to connect, delight and inspire to everyone, and to show them what’s possible with our mobile products. We want to give the Gift of Galaxy.
It all starts with Virtual Reality (VR) powered by a Samsung Galaxy phone1. This holiday season, we’re telling the next chapter in our VR story, and bringing incredible experiences to life with a new spot we call, Unwrap the Feels. To capture the warmth and spirit of the holiday season, Unwrap the Feels focuses on families, coming together, and sharing special moments. It’s candid and raw, showing the range of powerful emotions and reactions when people immerse themselves in new VR worlds.
And now, we’ve made it easier than ever to bring that VR experience home for the holidays. Starting on Thanksgiving through November 28, you can buy a Galaxy S7 edge or Galaxy S7 and get a Gear VR gift pack, which includes a free Gear VR plus Oculus content bonus. So for a limited time, your new phone will come with new, immersive VR experiences. It’s the gift that keeps on giving.
That’s not the only way we’re planning to spread the holiday cheer this year. This season, the Samsung blue box will become synonymous with a magical gift-giving experience —one that delights and wows. As such, Samsung 837 will be transformed into a larger than life blue box as well as unveil its holiday windows, on Wednesday, November 23 through New Year’s Day. During this time, guests will have an opportunity to partake in festive holiday events and receive special surprises. We’re also launching a new VR experience—our own take on Santa’s sleigh ride. We’ll have more to share about this and more in the next few weeks, so stay tuned.

Marc Mathieu, chief marketing officer at Samsung Electronics America, is a storied marketing veteran known for developing talent, digital innovation, and driving big ideas across the business.
