Honoring Our Veterans

Veteran’s Day is our opportunity to honor the dedication, courage and sacrifice of the brave men and women who have served in the military. At Samsung, I have the privilege to work alongside many Veteran team members, representing all branches of the military, and witness a strong and active Veteran’s Community employee resource group within our organization. These individuals thrive in our fast-paced work environment, showcase their unique leadership skills developed through service and demonstrate the importance of teamwork that we value as a global organization.
Our company was founded with a deep appreciation of the support, led by the United States, during the Korean War. The sacrifices by our armed forces have allowed Samsung and companies like it not only to persevere, but to thrive. For more than 40 years, Samsung has supported charity partners that enable American veterans, including American Legion, Fisher House Foundation, Hero Flights, Carry the Load, FourBlock and Vets2Set.
This year, we also mark one year since Samsung became the founding Sponsor of the Manufacturing Institute’s Heroes MAKE America initiative to build a pipeline of skilled workers between the military and manufacturing by giving transitioning service members, veterans and military spouses the skills and certifications to find careers in manufacturing.
