On Tuesday, Katie Cheng<\/a>, Vice President of Home Appliance Marketing for Samsung Electronics America, unveiled the Chef Collection line at Samsung 837<\/a> in New York City\u2019s Meatpacking district to a captive audience.<\/p>\n

Consumers spend about 60% of their waking hours at home in the kitchen, according to data from Samsung. \u201cWe share experiences with family and friends, we nourish our lives as well as ourselves, in the kitchen,\u201d said Cheng<\/strong>, explaining this thinking was the foundation and inspiration for Samsung\u2019s Chef Collection.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you spend so much time in the kitchen, appliances need to do more than just serve up cool features. They need to enhance, elevate and inspire.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bluetooth enabled hoods turn on automatically with the surface of the Chef Collection pro range and cooktop models, so preventing a smoke-filled kitchen during the making of a feast is no longer an afterthought.
