NEW YORK \u2013<\/strong> March 22, 2018 \u2013<\/strong> <\/span>Samsung Electronics America, Inc.,<\/strong> the number one selling brand of major appliances[1]<\/a>, today opened a four-day showcase of premium home appliance innovation and inspiration at the 2018 Architectural Digest Design Show (ADDS)<\/strong>.\u00a0 Samsung\u2019s booth features two distinct design experiences \u2013 one devoted to its Chef Collection line of premium built-in kitchen appliances<\/a>, the other to Samsung\u2019s latest connected living innovations including the new 2018 Family Hub refrigerator<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Samsung\u2019s Chef Collection blends chef-inspired features and thoughtful technology in a professional level appliance line that reflects how people live in the kitchen today.\u00a0 This sophisticated suite of cooktops, pro ranges, wall ovens, hoods, dishwashers and refrigerators \u2013 including the industry\u2019s first 42\u201d 4-Door Flex model \u2013 lets home chefs handle the preparation of any meal with proficiency and style, whether they are 5 course, 5 minute or 5 ingredient cooks.\u00a0 Chef Collection also integrates Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities for seamless control and monitoring of the cooking process via smartphone.<\/p>\n

The Chef Collection line brings many innovative features to the built-in category.\u00a0 These include View Inside cameras, first made possible by the Samsung Family Hub refrigerator, which lets users see inside their refrigerator from anywhere.\u00a0 Chef Collection induction cooktops feature Virtual Flame technology, a large FlexZone\u2122 cooking surface, and LED-illuminated knobs which signal whether the cooktop is on or off.<\/p>\n

The Family Hub and other connected appliances will also be on display at ADDS, as Samsung demonstrates how its home appliances make the smart home more intelligent and personalized. The 2018 Family Hub refrigerator enables consumers to do what wasn\u2019t possible in the kitchen before. This includes new food management features that allow shopping lists and meal preparation to work together based on what\u2019s in the refrigerator, including tracking food expiration dates and recipe creation.\u00a0 Family Hub is also more intelligent, with the ability to control the smart home from the refrigerator through Samsung SmartThings, and \u00a0Bixby voice assistant which responds to voice commands and gives a personalized overview of the day\u2019s calendar events, weather and more.<\/p>\n

The Architectural Digest Design Show, now in its 17th<\/sup> year, draws approximately 40,000 attendees to see innovations in kitchen, bath, furniture, accessories, lighting, and art.<\/p>\n
