Celebrated on the fourth Thursday of April, \u201cTake Your Child to Work Day\u201d is a nationally recognized day that gives children a glimpse into the working world. The day, which was created by the Take Our Daughters and Sons To Work Foundation, allows parents to take their children to work in order to expose them to future job possibilities and reinforce the value of education.<\/p>\n

This year marked Samsung Electronics America\u2019s second annual virtual \u201cTake Your Child to Work From Home Day, as a result of the pandemic. Many of our employees\u2019 children have made cameos on video calls since we made the transition to remote work in March 2020, but this day was especially for them.<\/p>\n

Children of all were welcomed into the spotlight on April 22nd<\/sup> and joined various Take Your Child to Work Day webinars. We hosted two leader sessions where our youngest Samsung team members got introduced to the brand, our culture two members of our Executive Team. We also challenged their Samsung knowledge through an interactive trivia session on Kahoot!<\/p>\n

Jude Buckley, Executive Vice President, Mobile Business<\/strong>, shared his background, the mobile products he works with and some of our exciting partnerships, such as Fortnite.<\/p>\n

Michelle Crossan, Senior Vice President, Corporate Marketing & Communications<\/strong>, educated participants on Samsung\u2019s history, the values that drive our business forward and passed along lessons learned throughout her career and life.<\/p>\n

We also know the value of getting moving throughout the day to stay healthy and energized. Glenda Alcantara from our Corporate Marketing team<\/strong> led a group of kids and parents in a live Stretch & Zumba class that got everyone out of their seats!<\/p>\n

For those who couldn\u2019t join us live, we encouraged parents to get their kids involved in learning more about our innovative products, like the Galaxy A series<\/a>, or help vote for the Employee Choice winner from our incredible Samsung Solve for Tomorrow National Finalists.<\/a><\/p>\n

We want to take the time to thank our valued employees for their dedication, flexibility, and commitment to performing their job duties in an exemplary way while juggling childcare and supervising their children’s schooling, amongst other household needs.<\/p>\n
