Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.<\/a> announced that its 2023 Neo QLED<\/a>1<\/sup><\/a> and Lifestyle TV<\/a>2<\/sup><\/a> lineups received the \u2018Circadian Rhythm Display\u2019 certification from Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker (VDE), a leading electrical engineering certification institute in Germany. The certification underscores Samsung\u2019s commitment to developing technology and products designed with consumers top of mind.<\/p>\n

This certification recognizes that Samsung TV\u2019s Eye Comfort mode provides an optimal viewing experience for consumers spending more time indoors by automatically balancing light exposure and color temperature to mimic natural outdoor light.<\/p>\n

The circadian rhythm has a cycle of inhibiting melatonin secretion for dynamic activities during the day, while activating its release for a comfortable sleep at night. Melatonin is a hormone known to help you sleep well.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

VDE\u2019s certification validates the benefits of Eye Comfort mode on users\u2019 circadian rhythm by measuring circadian stimulus at different illuminance levels and assessing the impact on melatonin suppression. The certification process complies with the Circadian Stimulus method based on the research results of the Lighting Research Center in the U.S.<\/p>\n

This is one of many verifications Samsung TVs<\/a> have received representing ongoing efforts to put users and their experience front and center of product design. Previously, Samsung TVs<\/a> have received \u2018Eye Care\u2019 certification from VDE and \u2018Glare-Free\u2019 validation from UL, along with \u2018Pantone Validated’ and ‘SkinTone Validated’ certifications from Pantone, both signifying that certified Samsung screens satisfy the organization\u2019s color accuracy standards.<\/p>\n
