Samsung Electronics America<\/a> has announced the launch of the Odyssey OLED G9<\/a> gaming monitor (G95SC model), which has been enhanced with next-level AI upscaling technology. Building on the success of Odyssey OLED G8<\/a> (G85SB), the new monitor joins the lineup to open a new era of OLED gaming.<\/p>\n

To celebrate the launch of the new model, the Odyssey Cup was held on the\u00a0Samsung Odyssey Twitch channel<\/a>\u00a0on June 22, bringing together 100 global gamers for a\u00a0Fortnite<\/a> tournament for a $100,000 prize pool. The event featured streamers Lulu, Courage and Sommerset<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\nMeasuring 49 inches in size with a 1800R curvature, the Odyssey OLED G9<\/a> is the first OLED monitor to offer Dual Quad High Definition (DQHD; 5,120 x 1,440) resolution with a 32:9 ratio. The high pixel density (110PPI) provides more detailed game contents. With the large and wide screen ratio, users lose themselves in super-ultrawide view \u2014 equivalent to two QHD screens side by side. At the same time, its rapid 0.03ms gray-to-gray (GtG) response time and 240Hz refresh<\/a> rate offer players a competitive edge.
