This year, during Climate Week NYC<\/a>, we brought together our network of employees<\/a>, customers, government agencies<\/a>, non-profit organizations<\/a>, media partners and more, for exciting activations that built on our commitment to improve energy efficiency<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Stay Organized & Save Energy with The Home Edit and Samsung (9\/21)<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Samsung is teaming up with The Home Edit<\/a> to show how energy management and staying organized can be both fun and functional. Together, we\u2019ll be co-designing a new energy-efficient laundry room at The Home Edit brand house<\/a> in Nashville with help from SmartThings<\/a>, Samsung\u2019s smart home platform. We kicked off\u00a0this exciting energy saving adventure on Thursday, September 21 and demonstrated how SmartThings Energy<\/a> can help you improve efficiency among some of the most popular home appliances. Then, guests were invited to stick around at Samsung 837<\/a> for a signing of The Home Edit: Stay Organized<\/a><\/em>!<\/p>\n

Tackling issues like climate change require ongoing cooperation and support from us all, but knowing where to start can feel like a daunting task. On Tuesday, September 19, Samsung and ITI<\/a> partnered to host events that highlighted private and public partnerships between tech companies and government agencies that have a positive impact on the environment. Together, we hosted a\u00a0panel event<\/a> at The Standard, High Line, as our very own Mark Newton<\/a>, Head of Corporate Sustainability at Samsung Electronics America, sat down with the Biden Administration\u2019s Jetta Wong, Senior Advisor on Climate, and Chief Sustainability Officers from many of the world\u2019s leading tech companies, including HP<\/a>, Intel Corporation<\/a> and Accenture<\/a>, and discussed critical climate questions and identify working solutions.<\/p>\n

Guests joined us at Samsung 837 on Thursday, September 21 to hear from Ben Dreith, Dezeen US Editor, and world-class tech and smart home designers, including Barent Roth, Director of Product Design at The New School \u2013 Parsons and Director, Co-Founder of Circular Economy Manufacturing; Matthew Spencer, Associate Director, Industrial Design & Sustainability at Aruliden; and Samsung Electronics America\u2019s Claudia Santos, Director of Product Marketing \u2013 Connected Living; as they explored how a connected home can help you reduce your environmental impact.<\/p>\n

Samsung Employees Serve Communities Coast-to-Coast (9\/21)<\/strong><\/a><\/h5>\n

As part of our annual Samsung Gives Day of Service<\/a>, Samsung employees spent the day learning about the needs of local communities and served through various activities that showcased Samsung\u2019s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, empowering the next generation and building a more sustainable world. With 16 different sustainability-focused events to choose from nationwide, our people got in touch with their green side as they beautified bike trails, cleaned up local creeks and more. And in New Jersey, employees at City Green<\/a> were joined by previous Solve for Tomorrow National Winners<\/a> from Princeton High School to bring their winning STEM solution<\/a> to life. Student and employee participants came together and created biohomes for black soldier flies to transform food waste into compost.
