With the company\u2019s most diverse portfolio of ENERGY STAR\u00ae<\/sup> products<\/a> to date, Samsung<\/a> is announcing that 11 induction cooking products \u2013 one induction cooktop and 10 induction ranges \u2013 have been certified to the brand new ENERGY STAR specification for residential electric cooking products, according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).<\/p>\n

As part of Samsung’s sustained commitment to energy efficiency innovation<\/a>, the company is excited to launch new energy-efficient products this spring. This includes Samsung\u2019s innovative, energy-efficient induction range, the Bespoke AI Slide-In Induction Range. Through its products, Samsung remains focused on being a sustainable partner and helping consumers reduce their energy consumption. Samsung is also introducing home energy monitoring and management settings into the company’s SmartThings app<\/a> through SmartThings Energy<\/a>, which is compatible with over 300 brands and thousands of products.<\/p>\n

\u201cCooking products represent the next frontier for residential energy efficiency, with induction technology offering an exciting new way for American households to be part of the clean energy future,\u201d said U.S Environmental Protection Agency ENERGY STAR Products Director Ann Bailey. \u201cIf all residential electric cooking tops sold in the United States were ENERGY STAR certified, energy cost savings would grow to $160 million each year, and almost 1.75 billion pounds of greenhouse gas emissions would be prevented.\u201d<\/p>\n

Samsung’s efforts to improve energy efficiency in its products build on the company’s history of innovation in sustainable technology. Samsung currently offers 549 base models certified to U.S. EPA ENERGY STAR specifications. As of December 2023, 72% of Samsung’s appliances are ENERGY STAR certified in categories for which there is a specification. In 2021, Samsung’s Smart Induction Cooktop<\/a> was also the first cooktop in the industry to be recognized with the EPA Emerging Technology Award for its ability to reduce energy use and lower emissions as one cooks \u2013 all while maintaining outstanding performance. Notably, Samsung has more models that have been awarded the ENERGY STAR Emerging Technology Award than any other company.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\n\t\t\"Sustainability\"\n\t\t<\/a>\n\t<\/div>\n

Samsung’s award-winning energy-efficient portfolio exemplifies the company’s commitment to developing eco-conscious products that can help families conserve energy, cut costs, and build a more sustainable future. As part of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA),<\/a> customers will be able to access home appliance rebates for discounts on\u00a0ENERGY STAR <\/span>heat pump dryers and cooking appliances, including ranges and cooktops, for states that choose to include these categories. Once states apply for and receive funding to implement these programs, customers can save up to $840 on new appliances depending on the amount of the rebate set by the state and the customer\u2019s income level, which must be less than 150% of area median income \u2013 as defined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development \u2013 to qualify. Samsung is committed to advancing these voluntary solutions for the benefit of our consumers and reinforcing consumer choice.<\/span><\/p>\n
