The competition empowers public middle and high school students to catalyze change by applying Problem-based Learning (PBL) principles, environmental stewardship, and social impact entrepreneurship to address some of society&#8217;s most pressing challenges.<\/p>\n<div class=\"embedded product-module\">\n\t\t<a id=\"product-module-0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.samsung.com\/us\/solvefortomorrow\/\" title=\"Solve for Tomorrow\" class=\"snr-article_product-image\" target=\"_blank\">\n\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/img.us.news.samsung.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/06102359\/solve-for-tomorrownewsroom-product-module-1.png\" alt=\"Solve for Tomorrow\">\n\t\t<\/a>\n\t<\/div>\n<h5><strong>Monday, April 29: National Finalists Pitch Event<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Representing the very best of this year\u2019s competition entrants, <a href=\"https:\/\/news.samsung.com\/us\/ten-schools-named-national-finalists-samsung-solve-for-tomorrow-stem-competition-2023-2024\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>10 National Finalists<\/strong><\/a> from public middle and high schools in Alabama, Arizona, Delaware, Iowa, Idaho, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, West Virginia, and Wyoming will present their innovative STEM solutions at a live pitch event today, April 29 to a panel of judges. These Gen Z student teams have developed game-changing approaches to address accessibility for mobility-impaired individuals, youth suicide prevention, Indigenous language preservation, urban waste management, inclusive board games for special needs children, health threats from water contaminants, and more.<\/p>\n<p>Later this afternoon, Samsung employees will name one student team this year\u2019s <strong>Employee Choice Winner<\/strong> from the 10 National Finalists. That honor earns the winning school an added $10,000 in prizes on top of their National Finalist winnings.
