Representing the very best from this year\u2019s competition, the 10 student teams\u2014hailing from middle and high schools in <strong>Alaska<\/strong>, <strong>Arkansas<\/strong>, <strong>Colorado<\/strong>, <strong>Connecticut<\/strong>, <strong>Delaware<\/strong>, <strong>Indiana<\/strong>, <strong>Louisiana<\/strong>, <strong>Minnesota<\/strong>, <strong>Nevada<\/strong>, and <strong>Wyoming<\/strong>\u2014presented their groundbreaking STEM solutions at a live morning pitch event on April 28. These Gen Z and Gen Alpha student innovators have created game-changing solutions to tackle challenges such as <strong>healthcare<\/strong> access, <strong>accessibility<\/strong> in sports, gaming, and music, <strong>climate<\/strong>-driven heat disparities, youth <strong>mental health<\/strong>, and more\u2014demonstrating the power of STEM to drive real-world impact.<\/p>\n<p>Their projects, developed using cutting-edge technologies like <strong>artificial intelligence<\/strong> (AI), <strong>machine learning<\/strong> (ML), <strong>3D modeling and printing<\/strong>, the <strong>Internet of Things<\/strong> (IoT), and <strong>robotics<\/strong>, were evaluated by a panel of esteemed judges, including <strong>Charlotte Dungan<\/strong>, Chief Learning Officer at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.markcubanai.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mark Cuban Foundation<\/a>; <strong>Enobong Etteh<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UC5lDVbmgb-sAcx2fjwy3KQA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YouTube Creator<\/a>; <strong>Hope King<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@macrotalkwithhope\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Macro Talk News<\/a> Founder and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/authors\/hking\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Axios<\/a> Contributor; <strong>Rameen Rana<\/strong>, Investor at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.samsungnext.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Samsung NEXT<\/a>; and <strong>Renzo Villavicencio<\/strong>, Vice President of Process Innovation &amp; Procurement at Samsung Electronics America. Named TIME\u2019s Kid of the Year and a UNICEF Youth Advocate, Gitanjali has been recognized globally for her groundbreaking work in STEM taking on issues ranging from contaminated drinking water to opioid addiction and cyberbullying. With accolades like Forbes 30 Under 30, America\u2019s Top Young Scientist, Stephen Hawking Medal Junior for Science Communications, and the Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Award, she embodies the next generation of problem-solvers harnessing technology for good.<\/p>\n<p>Following the keynote, the <strong>\u201cAI for Good: Empowering the Next Generation of Problem-Solvers\u201d panel<\/strong> explored how AI can drive positive impact while addressing key challenges like bias, energy consumption, and ethical responsibility. Additional honors included the <strong>Rising Entrepreneurship Award<\/strong> and <strong>Sustainability Innovation Award<\/strong>, each granted an extra $25,000 prize package, as well as the <strong>Community Choice<\/strong> and <strong>Employee Choice Awards<\/strong>, with $10,000 in additional prizes.
