From AI-powered self-service kiosks to vibrant in-store signage, Samsung enables seamless, data-driven display ecosystems that attract, delight and convert customers
1/13/2025
Samsung Electronics America, Inc. is showcasing its latest retail solutions and partner technologies at NRF 2025: Retail’s Big Show (Booth #5303). Under the theme “Powering retail intelligence – Right here, right now,” Samsung will demonstrate how cutting-edge displays, AI innovations and software work together to deliver a data-driven display ecosystem to transform retail experiences.
Samsung Retail Solutions for Next-Generation Stores
NRF attendees can discover firsthand how Samsung retail solutions empower next-generation stores to captivate customers, drive revenue growth and enhance seamless operations. The Samsung booth will feature dedicated sections highlighting the latest Samsung Display products and software, including:
Samsung Kiosks with AI-powered ordering
The Samsung Kiosk’s all-in-one ordering and payment system provides a modern, efficient, self-service experience. Now, with the option to add a microphone and SoundHound’s AI platform, the Kiosk introduces voice-enabled ordering and checkout. This innovative feature enhances customer convenience and accessibility, allowing them to complete transactions on the screen with their voice. Retailers can generate more revenue by integrating the Kiosk with their loyalty programs and using data-driven personalized offers to increase basket sizes and upsell opportunities.
*NEW* Samsung Color E-Paper
Making its NRF debut, the 32-inch Samsung Color E-Paper (EMDX) represents the next generation of digital signage. With its paper-like, battery-powered display, the E-Paper delivers vibrant, consistent custom content in up to 60,000 colors. Easy to set up and update with new content anytime, it provides an eco-friendly alternative to traditional printed posters. Offering near-to-zero power consumption through e-ink technology, E-Paper is a sustainable solution for retailers looking to engage customers while reducing their environmental impact.
Visual eXperience Transformation (VXT)
Samsung VXT is a cloud-native Content Management System (CMS) that combines content and remote signage management in one secure platform. The all-in-one solution simplifies the remote management of digital displays and retail media networks across single or multiple store locations. NRF attendees can also discover VXT’s Pre-Integrated & Repeatable Solutions (PIRS) — app-style products developed by Samsung and its partners to help businesses create engaging content for various vertical use cases, like digital menu boards, without coding or complex software. Suitable for businesses of all sizes, VXT was a central part of the “Samsung Celebrates Big Ideas, Small Businesses” holiday campaign to spotlight technology-driven small businesses across America.
SmartThings Pro
Launched in June 2024, SmartThings Pro extends Samsung’s hyper-connected smart home technology to business environments to optimize workflows and operations. With its intuitive dashboard, users can monitor, control and create custom automations for connected devices across their business. For example, retailers can schedule in-store signage to turn on and off based on operating hours to control energy consumption or pre-set lighting, temperature and humidity levels to create the ideal in-store environment. Retailers like Ashley Furniture are already leveraging SmartThings Pro to manage the operation of connected displays on their showroom floors.
“Customer loyalty today is built on offering differentiated and personalized experiences,” said David Phelps, Head of the Display Division, Samsung Electronics America. “By integrating best-in-class displays with smart, connected software solutions, retailers can deliver dynamic content in fresh, compelling ways to inform and captivate customers. Display ecosystems tap into retail intelligence to exceed customer expectations of what’s possible for the future of retail.”
Samsung Customers Underscore the Power of Retail Intelligence
Brands like RE/MAX and Frontgate are already unlocking the full potential of their display networks. During NRF, Samsung will spotlight their success stories, showing how digital signage solutions can help companies attract, delight and convert customers. These use cases demonstrate the power of Samsung technology in driving innovation and delivering impactful business outcomes.
RE/MAX Metro bolsters curb appeal and client connection
RE/MAX Metro, a leading real estate agency, has enhanced its St. Petersburg, Florida, office with Samsung OMN-D Series 55-inch dual-sided displays in its front windows. With the ability to showcase different messages on each side, the high-brightness digital displays engage passersby with eye-catching content while keeping office staff informed with internal messaging. Using Smartify’s digital media management platform, RE/MAX Metro can rapidly refresh content on the displays, such as to promote luxury properties, honor a top agent or celebrate a client’s success. Additionally, Smartify programmatically delivers carefully curated advertisements from top national and local organizations, enabling RE/MAX Metro to leverage the displays as an ancillary revenue generator as well as to cross-advertise its content on Smartify’s urban panel and retail media network.
Frontgate creates an interactive, in-store design experience
Frontgate, a national retailer specializing in high-quality home furnishings and décor, has elevated the personalized design services in its redesigned stores with Samsung Interactive Displays. These displays allow Frontgate’s in-store designers and customers to collaborate while viewing vibrant, detailed previews of how the brand’s furniture and décor come together to bring their dream home to life. The immersive experience empowers customers to make decisions with greater confidence while building trust and connection with their designer. In many cases, that positive chemistry leads to increased sales. For instance, since the redesign, Frontgate’s Dallas store has seen a 9% sales boost attributed to design services.
Partners Enhance Retail Intelligence with Samsung Displays
In addition to its own display products, Samsung collaborates with a broad network of technology partners to build custom retail solutions based on a business’s unique needs. Featured partners in the Samsung booth include:
PopID biometric authentication
PopID’s biometric software, available on Samsung displays and tablets, allows customers to securely use face verification or other biometric data for ticketing, payments, loyalty programs and more. NRF visitors can see how PopID streamlines customer interactions to eliminate common friction points in the shopping and traveling experience.
