Galaxy S25 Ultra Elevates the 2025 Met Gala Experience

Tech-inspired Partnership with Fashion Luminary LaQuan Smith, Behind-the-Scenes Access with Team Galaxy’s Flau’jae Johnson Highlight Samsung’s Experiences at the 2025 Met Gala

5/9/2025

This was not your typical Monday.

Every year, the first Monday in May marks a monumental occasion for the fashion world: the annual Met Gala.

While the event serves as a fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, it’s also one of the world’s most prestigious and influential fashion events, bringing together the biggest names in couture, technology, entertainment, sports, and beyond to celebrate and inspire the latest trends in fashion.

In preparation for this year’s Met Gala, Samsung introduced the latest phase of its partnership with designer LaQuan Smith, opening the first-ever Galaxy AI Atelier — an AI-powered creative studio where LaQuan brought his 2025 Met Gala looks to life using the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Leading up to the event, LaQuan relied on Galaxy S25 Ultra as his all-in-one creative companion to research, design, create, and collaborate — meticulously refining every detail leading up to the big night.

From sourcing fabrics and organizing fittings to coordinating with business partners and vendors — and even sketching and finalizing designs — LaQuan used Galaxy AI features such as Now Brief, Sketch to Image, Gallery Search, and Audio Eraser to design with precision, collaborate in real time, and find creative inspiration.

On the night of the Met Gala, the Galaxy S25 Ultra captured every detail of the most memorable moments — from last-minute fittings to the final minutes leading up to red carpet arrivals.

The event also marked a significant milestone for the Lucid Dream sleepwear line that LaQuan Smith unveiled at New York Fashion Week. The ensembles were inspired by the innovative design and sleep insights of Samsung’s Galaxy Ring and the menswear piece is currently part of the exhibition at the Met Gala Costume Institute.

Samsung hosted Team Galaxy members, trendsetters across sports, fashion, and technology, in a way that was uniquely Samsung. Hip-hop artist, basketball player, and Team Galaxy member Flau’jae Johnson served as host for the E! CreatorCam. Galaxy S25 Ultra powered the livestream to give viewers a behind-the-scenes preview of Met Gala looks before they hit the red carpet.

Following the Met Gala, Samsung continued the celebration at LaQuan’s exclusive Met Gala House Party, where guests were immersed in the world of Galaxy AI. The event featured interactive experiences and live content creation stations, offering a hands-on look at how Galaxy AI is reshaping the boundaries of style, self-expression, and creative technology.

The activations around the 2025 Met Gala are the latest in Samsung’s longstanding commitment to fashion, which have included partnering with leading fashion brands, designers, and creators on special editions, product drops, exclusive content, and interactive experiences — showcasing how Samsung is empowering the next generation of creators in fashion and beyond.

For Samsung, technology and fashion go hand in hand — at the heart of both technology and fashion is a shared focus on unique design, innovation, pursuing creativity, and prioritizing self-expression.

By partnering with like-minded designers and media organizations Samsung continues to inspire people to pursue their creative passions by showcasing groundbreaking innovation at the intersection of technology and fashion.
