‘Pop Up’ Care Truck Eliminates Frustration of Finding Time to Fix Your Phone
9/15/2017
Finding the time to fix your phone, tablet or computer is a tall order for most New Yorkers who are busy living life but entirely dependent on technology to keep them on task. To make it easier, Samsung recently deployed a traveling Care Truck at various locations throughout New York City to deliver personalized service where and when New Yorkers need it most — while they’re on-the-go.
With the goal of bringing Samsung’s dedicated customer care teams directly to where consumers are, the Samsung Care Truck offers on-site support to help you get the most out of your Samsung devices. From fixing a cracked screen, to setting up a new phone or other device or just to get quick, one-on-one instruction, the Care Truck team is well-versed in many new features and necessary software updates.
For Galaxy owners and devices including the Note5 or higher, the Care Truck brings best-in-class technical support at all levels: Software recovery, upgrades and device troubleshooting to fixing cracked screens, broken buttons and replacing batteries and cameras.
“We continuously strive to find better solutions for our consumers and this new, white-glove approach manifests the strong value we place on customer care here at Samsung,” said Josh Ives, Vice President of Customer Experience, Samsung Electronics America.
Since hitting the road July 10, the Care Truck team has already hosted nearly 5,000 visitors with questions and service requests. Over 25% of requests have been about learning new ways to get more from their devices, almost half of the visitors needed repair service and nearly 1,500 demonstrations of the Galaxy S8 phone have been given.
The convenience of the Care Truck allows Samsung customers to receive exceptional device support directly from company experts and eliminates an added step of going through a service provider.
While at the truck, Galaxy S8, S8+ and Note8 owners can also register for Samsung Premium Care, a white-glove service that offers personalized care and attention, anytime and anywhere, based on personal needs. As Samsung’s next evolution in customer care, the program offers customers enhanced in-person support, coverage for accidental damage, an extended warranty and a replacement phone when needed.
The truck will be making stops throughout New York City through the end of November and is open to the public between the hours of 11:00AM – 8:00PM.
