Earns best ranking in J.D. Power 2021 U.S. Appliance Satisfaction Study across the majority of appliance categories

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. is proud to announce the rankings and results of the J.D. Power 2021 U.S. Appliance Satisfaction Study. Samsung received more J.D. Power Awards for appliances than any other brand in 2021, ranking highest in nine out of 11 segments.

Consumer satisfaction was measured on a 1000-point scale, and the categories were based on five factors: ease of use; features and settings; performance and reliability; price; and styling and appearance.

This year, Samsung ranked highest in all three laundry appliance segments:

  • In Clothes Dryers, Samsung ranked number one for the third year in a row out of four brands and performed highest in all five categories: ease of use; features and settings; performance and reliability; price; and styling and appearance.
  • In Front-Load Clothes Washers, Samsung ranked number one for the fourth year in a row out of four brands and performed highest in all five categories: ease of use; features and settings; performance and reliability; price; and styling and appearance.
  • In Top-Load Clothes Washers, Samsung ranked number one for the third year in a row out of five brands and performed highest in all five categories: ease of use; features and settings; performance and reliability; price; and styling and appearance.

Samsung also received the top ranking in six kitchen appliance segments:

  • In Cooktops, Samsung ranked number one out of six brands and performed highest in features and settings; performance and reliability; price; and styling and appearance.
  • In Dishwashers, Samsung ranked number one for the second year in a row out of six brands and performed highest in ease of use and price.
  • In French Door Refrigerators, Samsung ranked number one for the second year in a row out of four brands and performed highest in features and settings; performance and reliability; price; and styling and appearance.
  • In Over-the-Range Microwaves, Samsung ranked number one for the third year in a row out of five brands and performed highest in all five categories: ease of use; features and settings; performance and reliability; price; and styling and appearance.
  • In Side-by-Side Refrigerators, Samsung ranked number one out of five brands and performed highest in all five categories: ease of use; features and settings; performance and reliability; price; and styling and appearance.
  • In Wall Ovens, Samsung ranked number one out of six brands and performed highest in ease of use; features and settings; and performance and reliability.
