SAMSUNG and Telkonet Announce Strategic Hospitality Alliance
6/15/2015
Austin, Texas – June 15, 2015 – Samsung Electronics America today announced a strategic partnership with intelligent energy management company Telkonet to offer a new multi-tiered LYNK™ SINC 3.0 with HMS solution for hoteliers looking to create the ultimate hospitality experience for its guests. The solution will be displayed at HITEC 2015 at the Austin Convention Center, Booth #451, from June 15-18th.
“Samsung and Telkonet raised the bar in what can be achieved in guestroom innovation with the new LYNK™ SINC 3.0 with HMS,” said Jonas Tanenbaum, vice president of hospitality at Samsung Electronics America. “We are providing a hospitality solution that redefines the hotel guest experience while adding operational and cost benefits for the hotelier. Telkonet ensures hoteliers experience seamless integration of LYNK™ SINC 3.0 with HMS from start to finish.”
“Telkonet is committed to delivering state-of-the-art technology while providing professional expertise and a 24/7 commitment to customer service,” said Jason L. Tienor, CEO of Telkonet. “We are thrilled to partner with Samsung to create an unparalleled experience for hotel guests through a solution that also reduces energy consumption, HVAC runtime and utility costs for hoteliers.”
The new LYNK HMS is an optimized built-in TV content management solution. Benefits of the multi-tiered solution include:
- Elite Energy Management System (EMS) minimizing energy consumption of unoccupied rooms and maximizing guests comfort with thermal satisfaction when occupied. The EMS helps save energy and costs for hoteliers before, during, and after guests check out.
- Room Management Systems (RMS) allowing real-time monitoring of guestrooms and guest requests reducing guest complaints and labor expenses. Mobile RMS also automates staff’s workflow with functions that enable staff to respond immediately to guest requests while the customizable business regulations function boosts employee productivity and accountability.
- Complete In Room Control (IRC) allows guests to access information and services from the comfort of their hotel rooms over an IP-based infrastructure that enables in-room TVs to communicate with the hotel’s property management system (PMS). IRC gives users the ability to control and customize HVAC, lighting, drapery and DND/MUR from the Samsung Smart Hospitality TV.
