Samsung Displays Elevate the Employee Experience at Envoy Air
Using Samsung digital signage and Content Management System (CMS), Envoy Air delivers real-time content that strengthens employee communications, engagement and collaboration
7/8/2025
Samsung Electronics America announces Envoy Air Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines Group, has transformed the employee experience at its headquarters in Irving, Texas, through the deployment of Samsung digital signage and software. By implementing a connected ecosystem of Samsung display technology, Envoy Air now delivers real-time, engaging content that strengthens internal communications, reinforces company culture and recognizes team members.
“Envoy Air is a strong example of how digital signage innovation can elevate corporate communications and energize employees across an organization,” said Sara Grofcsik, Head of Sales, Samsung Electronics America. “By integrating high-impact visual content into their workplace strategy, Envoy Air has created a more connected environment that informs and uplifts the people who keep its business soaring. This approach not only supports its day-to-day operations but also reinforces the company’s values for staff both in the air and on the ground.”
As a leading regional airline focused on safety and operational reliability, Envoy Air relies on seamless communication to keep its team informed of critical updates, including weather events, shift schedules, performance metrics and safety alerts. While the company previously depended on a corporate intranet to share important news, much of its workforce, including pilots, flight attendants and ground crews, is rarely stationed in front of a computer. Some office locations had standalone digital signage, but these displays required manual updates via USB drives and were limited to static presentations. In a fast-paced aviation environment, this approach inhibited the dynamic communication necessary to keep every team member connected and prepared.
To address these challenges, Envoy Air partnered with Samsung to modernize its communications infrastructure. Building on American Airlines’ established relationship with Samsung, the airline deployed a comprehensive digital signage solution tailored to its operational needs. The rollout included:
- Samsung’s All-in-One IAC 130-inch 2K Displays—now featured in the West and East buildings of Envoy Air’s headquarters—deliver a consistent, high-impact visual experience. With best-in-class picture quality, the single-panel LED solution produces vivid colors, reduced visual noise and a full spectrum of grays and blacks. The displays’ built-in connectivity and streamlined setup eliminated the need to align multiple screens or manage separate components, reducing installation complexity.
- Digital signage in key areas, such as conference rooms and break areas across multiple outstations, keeps employees informed with updates on flight maps, safety alerts and even promotional offers like credit card programs. Rather than logging into the corporate intranet, team members can quickly check screens during their breaks to stay up-to-date on the latest news.
- A centralized CMS empowers Envoy Air’s strategy and operations team to upload, manage and rotate content across all screens seamlessly. Content can include training materials for pilots and mechanics, video messages from the communications team that enhance employee understanding of the airline’s growing operations and real-time dashboard data for senior leadership. From the moment executives arrive at the office, they can view operational insights, such as on-time metrics, weather updates, cancellation rates and other key performance indicators.
With its Samsung-powered communications infrastructure, Envoy Air is doing more than just delivering messages—it is engaging employees and encouraging active collaboration. Teams at local hubs can film their own safety videos and upload them for network-wide distribution. Samsung displays also enhance safety training and promote special events such as “Safety Days” in local hubs. For employee recognition, the displays spotlight employees of the month and feature interviews with subject matter experts in aircraft maintenance and safety compliance. When prospective hires arrive at Envoy’s headquarters, the All-in-One IAC 130-inch Displays showcase the full scope of the airline’s operations and culture, creating a strong and lasting first impression.
“We’re not only pushing corporate headquarters content out,” said Adam Simmons, Director of Communications, Envoy Air, “Samsung’s CMS has enabled the hubs to be more proactive with their communications as well. We put a lot of work into the videos that we do, and its relevant content. But the biggest challenge had just been getting people to watch it. Now, with Samsung’s CMS, it has amplified what we do, and really boosted engagement from the executive group to those on the front lines.”
Envoy Air joins a growing roster of forward-thinking businesses leveraging Samsung software solutions, such as the cloud-based Visual eXperience Transformation (VXT) platform, to dynamically manage their digital signage networks.
