Samsung Empowers Educators with Technology, Solutions and Professional Development at ISTELive 2025

The latest Samsung WAF Interactive Display and coach-led sessions at the education technology show support educators and inspire student success

6/30/2025

Samsung Electronics will exhibit its latest education displays and solutions at the 2025 International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Live conference in San Antonio, TX.  From June 29 through July 2, attendees can stop by the Samsung booth (#2436) and see technologies that create captivating classroom experiences for students and educators alike.

“As educators seek innovative ways to boost engagement and collaboration, technology serves as a tool to support diverse learning needs, helping every student thrive,” said Sara Grofcsik, Head of Sales, Samsung Electronics America. “Our latest displays and solutions are designed not just to connect students and teachers, but to empower educators with flexible, innovative tools that meet the evolving needs of today’s learners.”

Next-generation displays and solutions enhance today’s classroom and campuses

Available in 65-, 75- and 86-inch screen models, the Samsung Interactive Display (model: WAF) is powered by the Android 14 operating system and builds on the successes of Samsung’s first Google Enterprise Devices Licensing Agreement (EDLA)-certified classroom display, the WAD series, with a variety of familiar pre-installed and downloadable Google Apps via the Google Play Store and introduces new features to enhance classroom instruction and engagement.

A simple press of the always-visible “Annotation” button enables users to take notes anytime without interruptions, regardless of videos and other visuals that might also be displayed on the screen at the same time. In addition, the Note app on the display received an update—it now allows multiple students to use the whiteboard feature simultaneously. Up to four students have the ability to complete assignments individually in zones of the whiteboard display or can work in peer groups. These added features promote more collaboration in the classroom and increase engagement among students.

Front-facing quick access controls on the WAF give users the ability to operate the interactive display more efficiently, enhancing the overall user experience. The WAF’s device management solution optimizes remote management of the whiteboard settings and apps, guaranteeing efficient and stable operation in any learning environment.

Color E-Paper expands upon Samsung’s portfolio of energy-efficient digital signage—perfect for the dynamic communication needs of K–12 schools and campuses. Leveraging digital ink technology, the Color E-Paper delivers ultra-low power consumption, high visibility and a lightweight, wire-free design. With a fully charged integrated battery, schools can install these displays anywhere—from hallways to cafeterias—without the need for a constant power source. Whether it’s showcasing daily lunch menus, celebrating student achievements and award wins, posting event announcements or sharing timely updates, the Color E-Paper makes it easy to keep students and faculty informed.

Samsung’s latest version of VXT, a cloud-native Content Management Solution (CMS), brings smarter, centralized screen and content management to schools and campuses. Compatible with the company’s newest digital signage, VXT allows IT teams to remotely adjust settings like screen orientation, brightness and power schedules, helping align operations with school hours and reduce energy usage. VXT simplifies content creation with over 200 customizable templates and Pre-Integrated Repeatable Solutions (PIRS) apps, making it easy for educators and staff to share daily announcements, student recognitions, event schedules, safety messages and more. Whether across a single school or district-wide network, VXT empowers educational institutions to deliver clear, timely communication while improving operational efficiency and sustainability.

Education coaches share innovative approaches for today’s classrooms

Samsung Education Coaches Dee Lanier and Leticia Citizen will join a panel of six practitioners to present powerful instructional practices that amplify student voice and foster equity in the classroom. Each educator will share student-centered strategies that prioritize agency, inclusion and the elevation of diverse perspectives. Coaches Rachel Swanson and Manuel Herrera will lead the interactive session, “A Sketchy Lesson: Teaching Middle School Literacy Using Sketchnotes,” where attendees will step into a dynamic Language Arts classroom experience. Supporting educators with professional development for the future

To show its support for educators, the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Teacher Academy equips educators with the tools, knowledge and confidence to lead innovation in the classroom. Since its inception seven years ago, the program has expanded into new subject areas and now offers flexible, virtual learning opportunities designed to make professional development more accessible to educators nationwide.

Starting this July, the Teacher Academy will reach new heights, engaging nearly 200 teachers in three virtual workshops focused on key areas shaping the future of STEM education: Artificial Intelligence (AI); Design Thinking and Entrepreneurship. Each interactive session will combine expert-led presentations with hands-on breakout discussions, fostering collaboration and real-time idea exchange. Educators will work alongside field experts to develop and present solutions to real-world challenges. The Teacher Academy is just one way the Solve for Tomorrow initiative continues to champion teacher-led innovation and ensure that educators are equipped to inspire the next generation of problem solvers.
