[Update] Samsung TV Plus To Debut on Select Galaxy Smartphones

Update as of 11/23/2020 10 a.m. ET: Samsung TV Plus is now available on more Galaxy devices.

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. today announced that Samsung TV Plus, one of the top apps on Samsung Smart TVs, will launch September 23, 2020, in the Galaxy Store and Google Play for select Galaxy smartphones. The app will offer select Galaxy users access to the shows and content they love for free.

Since its launch on Samsung Smart TVs, our Samsung TV Plus streaming service has given viewers free and instant access to their favorite shows, as well as the ability to discover new content from 135 channels and growing, including Kitchen Nightmares, Baywatch, PeopleTV and PlayersTV.  Galaxy users who own a smartphone from the Galaxy Note20, Galaxy S20, Galaxy Note10 or Galaxy S10 series will be able to enjoy the app starting tomorrow.

Samsung TV Plus Has Something for Everyone

Stay informed and entertained with your favorite shows and channels on-the-go and enjoy quality programming in news, sports, reality TV, movies, kids programming and more. In addition, the Samsung TV Plus mobile app will have the service’s ever-growing library of free, on-demand programming, where hundreds of hours of binge-worthy shows and award-winning movies await.

For those who love to watch their favorite movies and shows while multi-tasking, Samsung’s The Movie Hub channel and the FilmRise Free Movies channel are the perfect companions. For parents looking for kid-appropriate content, they will now be able to access nine dedicated children’s channels on their compatible Galaxy smartphone.

Access breaking news through a variety of channels including CBSN, Cheddar and NewsNOW from FOX or watch global markets and finance news on Bloomberg TV+ UHD in crystal clear quality. And for the gamers, Samsung TV Plus on mobile even has VENN, a 24/7 network for gaming and pop culture, and the IGN channel, IGN1.
