Samsung’s Most Intelligent Fridge is Getting Smarter with Family Hub™ for 2024 Update

Samsung’s Family Hub™ for 2024 software enhancements are rolling out now for Family Hub owners.² The software enhancements include seamless app organization for more convenient access to your most used apps and new video streaming features. Plus, Samsung Bespoke 4-Door Flex Refrigerators with AI Family Hub™+ and AI Vision Inside™ (RF23DB9900) will now have more advanced AI food recognition capabilities, as well as Samsung’s Tap View screen sharing feature.

AI Food Tracking on Bespoke 4-Door Flex with AI Family Hub™ and AI Vision Inside™

The new update brings advanced food recognition to the AI Vision Inside™ camera that can recognize more than 30 food items such as fresh fruits and vegetables.³ See what’s inside your fridge from your phone, or just swipe or tap your Family Hub™ screen. AI Vision Inside™ keeps track of what food goes in and out of your fridge and recommends recipes based on what you have on hand. These enhancements to food recognition can simplify meal planning and shopping lists, while offering meal inspiration with thousands of recipes from the Samsung Food community.

Additionally, Bespoke 4-Door Flex with AI Family Hub™ and AI Vision Inside™ models now have Samsung Tap View⁴ to instantly mirror content from a Samsung Galaxy device⁵ by simply tapping it on their Family Hub™. With Tap View, you can instantly display the recipe you saved on your phone on the large display of your fridge or continue watching your favorite show as you start making dinner.

Intuitive App Experiences and Dashboards

Samsung’s Family Hub™ refrigerator line⁶ will offer more seamless on-screen access to the apps you use most. The update brings a customizable App Dock with the option to choose the six apps you want to pin to the bottom of your fridge’s display. You’ll no longer need to exit the screen you’re viewing to search for the app you want – just tap the icon and open it up in one quick step.

Additionally, a dedicated YouTube™ app will be added to the Family Hub™ screen with the 2024 update, offering a more seamless way to access your YouTube account and stream your favorite videos.

How to Update Your Family Hub™

Family Hub™ for 2024 software updates will be available to Family Hub™ refrigerator owners this July. Once the update is available in your region, you will receive a notification on the fridge’s screen asking to opt in to the latest software update. Enhancements will become available as soon as you accept the terms and complete the update.
