Game Changing Customers
Digitally Transforming the Ballpark Experience:
Mark Brubaker, Chief Technology Officer for the New York Mets, shared how Citi Field’s partnership with Samsung will create the most technologically advanced ballpark in the major leagues by 2023 with Samsung’s cutting-edge displays, software and solutions. Announcing plans for investments in waytelling and digital domination to optimize the fan experience at Citi Field, Brubaker offered an inside perspective:
“During our partner selection process, we realized it’s not just about the game, it’s about the experience and production value, and a huge part of that are the displays and sound. We had a big undertaking as we needed to replace our static control room, ribbon boards, menu boards and more. We went to different partners and explained our vision but we found that there were very few companies that were capable and willing to do everything. Samsung was the only one that had the capabilities and tools to give us that seamless experience we desired.”
Imagining a New Way of Learning:
Education partnerships are increasing focus on tech’s ability to support student productivity, efficiency and participation. Showcasing how innovative displays and software seamlessly convey information, Samsung partner UDT, an IT service and consulting firm, and Christopher Columbus High School (CCHS) in Miami, Florida shared the advantages of Samsung’s Flip 3 interactive whiteboards in their classrooms. One of the first schools to implement interactive whiteboards in 2021, CCHS will install indoor and outdoor LED signage upgrades to create a digitally united campus by 2023. Alex Seage, CCHS’ Senior IT Director, discussed how early collaboration with Samsung, a full-service provider, made all the difference:
“We have discovered that many teachers, following the pandemic, were looking for collaborative experiences from technology and content driven media that could be delivered in a quick and meaningful manner to hold students’ interest,” said Seage. “We were looking for a scalable solution that was adaptable and flexible and Samsung provided that from the get-go.”
The School District of Manatee County (SDMC) also shared its success story with Samsung smart signage powered by MagicINFO that revolutionized district schools. Today, Samsung is working with SDMC to install Samsung’s complete product portfolio and to incorporate additional display and tablet use for students. Charles Newsome, SDMC’ Site Support Service Manager, Information Technology, shared his experience:
“Our school district already had experience with projection type devices in classrooms. When we were exposed to digital technology, it gave us a better, more efficient platform for teaching. When we were exposed to interactive technology, we knew that was the way we wanted to go for our educators and students,” said Newsome. “We collectively fell in love with the product and rolled it out to 10 elementary schools. It turned out to be a great addition to classrooms, proving to be a better teaching tool than others previously used. We now have a five-year plan to implement Samsung digital and interactive signage in all classrooms and instruction spaces.”
Transforming Retail through Connectivity
Contactless Ordering:
GRUBBRR, the industry-leading provider of self-ordering technologies, is powering Samsung Kiosk, an all-in-one system that includes its advanced software solution that can be expanded into smart digital menu boards, kitchen display systems, food lockers and more.
“In answering the immense demand for an All-In-One Smart Kiosk, GRUBBRR recognizes the value of partnering with the most trusted electronics manufacturer, Samsung,” said Sam Zietz, CEO of GRUBBRR. “Samsung doesn’t dabble in a space, they come in fully committed and create massive disruption with premium products at a reasonable price point. Samsung coming into this space is going to democratize access to kiosks and enable merchants to do things they never thought were possible.
Social Content Integration:
Sprinklr and Samsung are partnering to give brands the opportunity to incorporate social content into displays to attract customers and influence purchase behaviors. Sprinklr Display is enabled on Samsung SMART signage via an app that works with its built-in Tizen SoC and MagicINFO software.
“We recognize that social media is here to stay. We are constantly finding new ways to engage customers and brands with technology that helps them capture the insight from social media,” said Jay Vigeland, Vice President of Cloud, Tech & Care Ecosystems, Global Alliance. “From the start of our involvement with Samsung, we committed to the platform. We built an application that works natively with Samsung displays allowing businesses to manage content remotely and utilize full functionality from a platform perspective.”
EV Charging Stations:
Iotecha and Samsung joined forces to combine Samsung’s display technology with IoTecha’s industry-standard EV charging station technology and transform the charging experience. Offering all-encompassing capabilities and a sleek design, Samsung’s all-new EV charging station was on site for attendees to explore its features first-hand.
“We believe that together, Samsung and IoTecha provide a cost-effective platform delivering fast and smart EV charging service and integrated in kiosks that bring visually dynamic interfaces with services, including Iotecha’s IoT.ON™ and Samsung’s MagicInfo with programmatic advertising,” said Kim Sarubbi, VP of Media at IoTecha Corp., and V/X speaker. “IoTecha’s proven track record, built on standards with proven capabilities, combined with Samsung’s technologies, is believed to be the solution infrastructure providers and end customers need to accelerate their electrification goals and differentiate their charging and digital signage offer as EV adoption accelerates.”
