Samsung is expanding a trusted U.S. semiconductor ecosystem across advanced manufacturing, R&D, suppliers and workforce development in Central Texas.
Since 1996, Samsung has invested $34.8B between its two campuses. Samsung’s commitment to this region is measured in impact: in 2025, the company supported 28,000 jobs and $2 billion in salaries.8
South Carolina
Samsung’s first U.S.-based home appliance manufacturing facility in Newberry, SC opened in 2017, with more than $900M in economic impact for the region.
Biologics
Samsung Biologics is building a U.S. biopharmaceutical manufacturing presence that brings global scale closer to American clients and strengthens the Maryland life sciences ecosystem. Its $353M acquisition of the Rockville, Maryland facility marks Samsung Biologics’ first U.S. manufacturing presence and adds 60,000 liters of capacity9 to its global manufacturing network.

Samsung is committed to helping consumers save energy and offers more than 630+ ENERGY STAR certified models designed to help save power, lower bills and reduce carbon emissions.
ENERGY STAR-certified products include 100% of dishwashers; 100% of washer/dryer combos; 93% of refrigerators; 65% of front-load washers; 60% of built-in cooktops; 58% of electric ranges; 34% of dryers; and 33% of top-load washers. ENERGY STAR certified products can save up to $450 on household energy bills each year.11
