Unlocking Innovation & Creativity during Take Your Child to Work Day

At Samsung, we’re making the most out of the summer months, from launching epic innovations to celebrating our summer interns. To add to the excitement, we invited 100 kids to our Ridgefield Park, NJ and Plano, TX offices for our annual Take Your Child to Work Day.

Following breakfast and warm welcomes from Samsung’s Allison Stransky, Chief Marketing Officer, in New Jersey and Blake Gaiser, Director, Smartphone Product Management, in Texas, our young visitors were given the inside scoop on all-things Samsung. After hearing about our products, the kids had a chance to learn more about each other’s family heritage during a Cultural Show and Tell. The group brought their newfound knowledge and friendships into our connected showrooms to experience some of our latest devices in action.

With our commitments to co-prosperity and creating groundbreaking innovations at our core, the children finished the day by giving back and brainstorming the next big idea. In partnership with Stars of Hope, a program of Vibrant Emotional Health, each child designed a wooden star to be shipped to disaster response crisis call centers and disaster sites nationwide, sending positivity to those in need.

Our future change makers were also tasked with thinking about what’s next for smart home technology. The kids came together in small groups to ideate how people might communicate in the future, pushing the boundaries of traditional methods. Each group presented their ideas to our Process Innovation Team before stopping in to say goodbye to our executives and North American President and CEO, KS Choi.
